Research model

A point of departure for the research is that the view that management research, education, consulting and practice interplay (see Figure 1). Between these four fields, management technology is transferred through three carriers, which have the explicit task of communicating management technology: graduates, publications, and consultants. For each of these carriers we will address the three principal questions formulated above, i.e. regarding the Carriers, the Content and the Diffusion of management knowledge. In so doing the analysis will particularly focus on the extent to which European management technology is undergoing a standardisation through influences from the United States.

Do so the programme contains four work packages dealing with

  1.  Management Practice and the Three Carriers,
  2.  Graduates,
  3.  Publications, and
  4.  Consultants.
