In order to become an exchange student you need to be nominated by your home university. The Department of Business Studies will not accept applications directly from students and without endorsement from the home university, only nominated students from partner universities.
Once you officially have been nominated by your university, you will receive an application package including important forms that you need to fill in and send back to us, e.g. application form for admission to Uppsala, course application and a checklist with instructions. Application forms sent in beforehand will be disregarded and you will need to send in new ones once you have received the application package from the Department of Business Studies.
Note that we only accept scanned copies of application forms in PDF format or hard copies sent by post so that they arrive by our deadline April 15 and October 15. The forms should be filled out via a computer.
Students are expected to select courses from the offerings presented on the menu to the left, under “Course offerings Autumn/Spring”. It is recommended that you make a second and third choice in your course application in case you are not admitted to your first or second option. Please note that there is no “add and drop system” at Uppsala University. You can only study courses you have been admitted to.
Visiting students at Uppsala University are provided with accommodation in student residences according to agreements between Uppsala University and the accommodation organisations. Rental conditions are specified in the contract which the visiting student signs after arrival.
You must apply for housing. An online application will be available on the Housing Office's website Housing Office . Information about how and when to apply will be published on that website in March. It is extremely important that you do not forget to apply for housing!
The deadline for application is April 15 for the following autumn semester and October 15 for the following spring semester.
