Application and admission

Before each semester you need to: 

  • Apply - through
  • Answer - on
  • Register on time - in Ladok


You need to apply every semester for the courses you want to study the next semester, even if you are registered on a Programme. If you are enrolled in any of our Master's Programmes, there is information for you on how to apply within the Programme on the Programme Site in Studium.

The application in made through during:

  • 15 March - 15 April for the autumn semester
  • 15 September - 15 October for the spring semester

Late application

Courses and Programmes where there might be a possibility to be offered a spot, will open for late application on If a course/Programme is not open, you can no longer apply to it. Late applicants are admitted if there are places left after the regular admission is completed.


It's very important that you reply to your offer in the first Notification of Selection Results. If you don't reply by the deadline, you will lose any places that you've been offered. 

Admitted with conditions

You will be conditionally admitted if you don't fulfil the requirements when you apply, but an assessment is made that you might before the course begins. However, you must be able to prove that you fulfil the requirements in order to be registered. You must state your interest in being registered before the registration deadline, about one week before the semester begins. 

Deferral of studies

If you are admitted and want to delay the commencement of your studies, you can apply for deferral of studies.
