Depending on what programme you are attending, the requirements for a degree might vary. When you fulfil the requirements for a degree you apply for it yourself. More information about degrees and how to apply can be found through the Graduation Office at Uppsala University.

Master’s Degree of 60 credits

Our Master's Programme in Entrepreneurship leads to a Master of Social Science (60 credits) with entrepreneurship as the main field of study.

The Master's Programme in International and European Law and Business leads to a Master of Social Science (60 credits) with commercial law as the main field of study.

Our Master's Programme in Sustainable Management leads to a Master of Science in Business and Economics (60 credits) with business studies as the main field of study.

The requirements are:

  • 30 credits second cycle, including 15 credit master thesis, within the main field of study
  • 15 credits second cycle
  • 15 credits first or second cycle

Master’s Degree of 120 credits

Our Master's Programmes in Business and Management; and in Accounting and Financial Management leads to a Master of Science in Business and Economics (120 credits) with business studies as the main field of study.

The requirements are:

  • 60 credits second cycle, including 30 credit master thesis, within the main field of study
  • 30 credits second cycle
  • 30 credits first or second cycle

Diploma ceremony

Once you have graduated you have the opportunity to join the Diploma Ceremony. The Ceremony is for students belonging to the Faculty of Social Sciences and arranged by the Department of Business Studies.
